This is a great post with an awesome map and lots of detail that I will read after work. One question though: is it possible to show the trails overlaid on a map showing topography/hills? My big concern about EOTR cycling is hills, since I have grown lazy and accustomed to flat rides through much of the L'Enfant old city.

Also, maybe this has been said, but the Bikeshare bikes don't strike me as particularly well suited for hills. The gear ratio is too low to pedal downhill and the bike so heavy that uphill is a real workout. Uphill into the wind on those monsters is a nightmare.
