OTP is exactly right. Hanging out with a lot of doctors doesn't allow you to practice medicine and David Alpert and GGW's hugely anti-car bias demonstrates a clear lack of knowledge in how a majority of people in the metro area get around the area.

You could also insert Ezra Klein in for David Alpert and essentially say the same thing about his opining on health care.
