JOL: oops, specifically related to your issue... is why when I would park my bike at Union Station at 7:10am (usually on the 1st. St. NE side) I would use two U locks (and I have a cable lock for my seat). In Baltimore, there is a parking area inside the parking structure, next to the office. Because it was in a reasonably surveilled area, there I only used one lock.
