I've always felt curb-cuts like this were super-selfish and illogical and I didn't understand why the city allowed it. This blog has taught me it's (current) city policy. The other problem with curb-cuts like this, at least on my street, is that the owners almost always park blocking the sidewalk so you have to walk out into the street to go around. Yes it's against the law but I've never heard of or seen anyone getting a ticket for blocking the sidewalk like that. Down with curb-cuts.
