The revised option would create a fully grade separated CCT and Metropolitan Branch Trail, the ultimate bicycle beltway. The Talbot bridge will eventually come down when doublestack freight rail is undertaken on the cSX Metropolitan Branch line. In addition the revised station will allow for the redevelopment of the Brookeville industrial area into a mixed-use development that mirror what is planned for Chevy Chase Lake.
