This post was interesting, but made me uncomfortable for two reasons -- the fact that it was based on a break-in (which among other things deprived the reader of a chance to hear the owner's perspective); plus the observations of "Rickey," which don't accomplish anything beyond making the story feel like a cheap Pelecanos knock-off.
