FWIW, Georgetown was never seriously considered as a site for a Metro station. The fact that the geology would make a station far too costly to build, the area didn't have enough jobs/commuters to satisfy the original criteria for site selection. That said, the fact that a station was never seriously considered didn't stop a few Georgetown residents from protesting it anyway. Haha
