@ goldfish:My only point has been that LC county board is faced with a immense decision

The point that many are making is that previous Loudoun boards have already made that decision. Democratic decisions have consequences. Perhaps it was sloppy to not write the check earlier, but nevertheless, the decision has been made. The building permits have been handed out. Developers have made investments counting on metro (can't belief I'm almost defending developers).
