Your attitude toward patents and patent holders reflect too much of Google's i.e. Google only respects their patents and will protect their intellectual property but not others'. Thomas Edison was one of the most innovative inventors and held the most patents. Many entrepreneurs start companies based on patents and hope that their patents will help them compete against the likes of Google. Thieves want to be able to steal other people's intellectual property all in the name of innovation and open source. Are you saying that Google will be willing to donate and open source every part of their business?
