As a Seattleite currently in DC, I can assure you that we take pride in the SLUT. Everyone wants to ride her. Also, it will be a wonderful thing when the many, MANY development plans for rail, streetcars, BRT, bike paths and TOD are finished over the next 15 years. Seattle may well have the best general bus system in North America, but even then it's long overdue for world class rail transit. Hopefully, the new administration will help it secure enough funding to get a system as comprehensive as the DC Metro.
