I would submit that the ANC has probably spent more time on this project in a constructive manner, not to oppose it, but rather to work out an amenity package centered around undergrounding the utilities.

Note that the schematics in the blog post do not show any utility poles. However, they are there, and all involved agree they are unsightly, and take up precious sidewalk space. It is time for PEPCO to come to the table.

It worked in Brookland, it needs to work here too.
