Alex B.-

Remember that the commuter rail station at the Meadowlands is a new addition, and is, in part, designed to bring people to the "Xanadu" entertainment complex they are building there. There is also some slim hope that a transit connection could save the Izod Arena (indoor) that will become obsolete once the Nets move to Brooklyn (the Devils having already moved to a very transit-accessible location adjancent to Newark Penn Station).

For basically the entire lifespan of the original Giants Stadium there was little to no transit out there, and yet the Giants, and when a decent team, the Jets, packed the place with no problems.

Transit to baseball, hockey, basketball, etc all makes sense. But to me the whole "there is no transit to Fed Ex" complaint is trying to force a solution onto a problem that doesn't exist.

In fact, if you want to take Metro to an event at Fed Ex, you can get off at Morgan Blvd, and walk. I've done it and the walk is not that much longer then from some of the farthest parking lots.
