I think bike riders need to be a little more understanding about how traffic works. The needs of the many (those riding the bus) do outweigh the needs of that one bicyclist who wants to have special treatment on the rode. Cyclists need to follow all the rules of the road that cars are bound to, they also need to realize that there simply may be some roads and routes that ought not to be traveled during rush hour. Take side streets or something! I've seen cyclist after cyclist go through lanes, even run red lights, and a few that have nearly taken me out (as a pedestrian)--so I'm really not all that sympathetic to their complaints about a few rude bus drivers.
