1. Thank you, generally; I really think the city needs to get tough on scofflaws and adopt a "first do no harm" policy when it comes to snowplowing; nevertheless I appreciate the generosity of the volunteers doing what others should be doing, as well as undoing some of the damage caused by the plows.
2. A big portion of the sidewalk along the west side of Tenley Circle had been shoveled out by some kind soul when I walked past tonight -- if any of you was responsible for that, thank you in particular.
3. The suburbs really are a lot worse -- I went out to Ikea today and walked from Greenbelt Metro to get there, which meant I had to walk along Baltimore Avenue (Route 1) -- all the snow out there has been piled onto the sidewalks and the bus stops (took a bus back) -- at least it was daylight when I did it.
4. You might want to take a shovel or 2 with you to McGinty's -- was back in SS tonight and there somehow seems to be more snow than there was yesterday piled at the intersection of GA and Colesville.
5. New candidate for shoveling hall of fame: the Shell at 4500 Connecticut, which dumped the snow from their station onto the sidewalk.
