WMATA will likely not publish and post maps defining the Silver line as future at all do to the cost of printing the maps that will be valid for only a few years.

We will likely start seeing maps in the stations and aboard trains with the Silver line on them a few weeks before the line opens. Strip maps on station walls and pylons will also be modified around the same time.

The thing I thought was sad, WMATA never published or printed a map of the originally planed and completed 103 mile system. Instead, WMATA, for the opening of the final segment of the originally planed system (Anacostia to Branch Avenue) showed the Blue line extension to Largo as future. Previous maps did not show Largo as future.
