@Lance - Where in his e-mail does Orange say he "thinks" he needs to be accountable to GGW? What does that have to do with anything? When did he make this complaint? This is an issue about process, not Vincent Orange (although his thinking that it is about him merely reinforces the flaws in the process.) As far as I know, right now Orange isn't accountable to anyone, since he hasn't been elected (or appointed) to anything.

Like I wrote before, if the issue here was transit policy, or metro funding, or any one of a host of things, you might have a point. But it doesn't.

If you sympathize with a politician thinking he need to be accountable to a bunch of like-minded dilettante know-it-alls - well, you know the saying about glass houses and walking around naked?
