What's That? is back for week #2. Each week, I'll show small close-up photographs of three different well-known places in Washington, DC. The first person to get all three will win recognition of his or her genius when I reveal the answers a few days later.

last one is the US 50 bridge over the potomac, I'm stumped on the rest.

#1 is at the entrance to the National Zoo. This is the only one I have any real confidence in.
#2 looks like the Pan-American Health Organization, but given the camera angle I think it has to be a building that can be looked down on easily, so I'll go with my second guess, the Hirshhorn.
#3 might be the railroad bridge next to the 14th Street bridge.

#1 is the wall around the new ATF HQ on New York Ave.
#2 is the Hirshorn entrance on Independence Ave. from above
#3 is a strut for the Metro Yellow Line Bridge in East Potomac Park.

Pretty sure the first one is one of the Os in the big concrete 'ZOO' outside the National Zoo.
The second looks like an aerial view of part of the Hirshorn.
The last appears to be a bridge support - given the age, I think it's the Long Bridge where it crosses the Mt. Vernon Trail.

I'm pretty sure the one on the left is the Zoo sign, I'm guessing from the Connecticut Avenue entrance. No clue on the others.

I believe number 1 is the 'o' in "zoo", cast in concrete at an entrance to the National Zoo. (There's more than one, so I don't know which one.) If I'm right, the photo is either clocked at an odd angle, or I've misremembered the angle of the sculpture. But the shape and texture are the same.

first one- National Zoo sign
second one- Hirschorn Museum
third- not sure which bridge- but definitely a Potomac River crossing- perhaps Memorial Bridge- it has nice stonework on the bottom

Much easier this time.

1. National ZOO, conn ave
2. Hirschorn (sp?) Museum
3. A train bridge. I'm not sure how you're supposed to guess which one based on this photo, but I'll go with the one over the Potomac River next to the Metrorail bridge.

14th-street bridge or maybe the TR bridge, not sure.
