Transit

Weekend video: Bring it down, pull the bar, put it on

TARC, the transit authority of Louisville, Kentucky, put together this catchy tune on how to mount your bike to a bus-mounted bike rack.

Bring it down, pull the bar
Put it on, put it on
Take it off, put it up
Then you're done, then you're done!
The video shows bikes and buses and complementary modes.

It suggests a bike means that they can ride to a bus stop that they might otherwise consider too far away. The video also markets to regular cyclists, who might want to ride home on the bus rather than bike in the dark.

I'm picturing the Metro driver giving you about 10 seconds to get your bike on the rack before he starts blowing the horn, or he just runs you over.

Optimally just before and after you put the bike on you can dance in the headlights a little also :)

I'm not ashamed to say that this video helped.
