Macho men (and others at Pride) love Capital Bikeshare

Yesterday was DC's Pride Parade. Matt Johnson caught some signs which celebrate both DC's LGBT community and its best urbanist qualities:

These folks were part of Councilmember Tommy Wells' entourage. Other whimiscal signs from the Wells group included "More disco, less sprawl" and "Fake cowboys for streetcars." If you were at the parade, did you get any good photos of these or anything else like them?

Between the girl scouts and the parade, half the streets between Columbia Heights and the river were closed, so I saw a whole bunch of people stuck in traffic - as I passed them on my bicycle.

I was in Dupont as the festivities were getting under way, and the mood was probably the most buoyant I've ever seen on Pride weekend. It was glorious. I regretted that I couldn't stay. I had a small person with me in desperate need of a nap.

Also, "too much to bare" made me LOL. Freudian much? My mouth always feels minty fresh after reading GGW.

You must have spent the whole weekend vomiting, seeing as CM Wells' parade entourage got so much attention in press & social media before this post. Maybe it's just the heat.
