For the next installment of Greater Greater Washington’s happy hour series, we’re heading back to DC! Join us Thursday, November 21 from 6-9 pm at Penn Quarter Sports Tavern.

We look forward to getting contributors, editors, and readers together for some drinks and lively conversation. Penn Quarter Sports Tavern is at 639 Indiana Avenue NW at 7th Street in Penn Quarter, across the street from the Archives Metro station (Green & Yellow lines) and a few blocks from Gallery Place (Red, Green, and Yellow lines) and Metro Center (Red, Blue, and Orange lines).

When you arrive, look for us upstairs. The venue has happy hour specials until 7 pm, but nachos are also half off from 7 pm until close.

If you don’t feel like taking the Metro, you can also reach Penn Quarter Sports Tavern on the 30s, 50s, 70s, D, P, and X Metrobus lines. The nearest Capital Bikeshare station is at 8th & D streets, two blocks away.

These happy hours are a regular occurrence, moving to a different (Metro-accessible) part of the region each month. Since June, we’ve been to downtown DC, Silver Spring, and Arlington. In the future, we’d like to hold meetups in Prince George’s County, Alexandria, and along the west side of the Red Line, among other places. If you’d like to have one in your neck of the woods, let us know in the comments and we’ll consider hosting an event there.
