Developers have submitted a request to shut down a portion of I-395 for over a year around the Capitol Crossing development. The only major commuter route that’s been shut down before in DC was the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge in 2007 for eight weeks. (Post)

A Giant shortcut
Metro is working with Giant Food and Peapod to set up a pilot grocery pick up service at three Metro stations. Customers would be able to pick up food orders in the evening three nights a week. (Post)

Looser liquor laws
