This pre-holiday season is perfect for holiday parties and happy hours. Join Greater Greater Washington for food and drink tomorrow, and WABA for their holiday party tonight. After all the socializing, get back on track with a bike lane webinar, bike repair classes, and an inspiring student presentation.

Greater Greater happy hour: Do you love Greater Greater Washington as much as we do? Please join your favorite contributors, commenters and readers for our next happy hour this Tuesday, December 16, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. We will meet at Jojo Bar at 1518 U Street NW for some great food, drink and conversation. Don’t miss it.

WABA holiday party: Are you currently a WABA member? Want to become one? Then make sure to attend their holiday party tonight (Monday December 15) from 6 to 10 pm at Smith Public Trust at 3514 12th Street in Brookland. There will be food, drink, and tons of great raffle prizes. The event is free for members, and non-members can join on-site and attend for a discounted price.

Evaluating protected bike lanes: If you read our post about bike lanes and wanted more information, head over to Mobility Lab for a webinar about Portland State University’s study on the effectiveness of protected bike lanes. The webinar is this Wednesday, December 10, from 1 to 2 pm, at Mobility Lab, located at 1501 Wilson Boulevard #1100. Light refreshments are provided.

CityVision final presentation: Sometimes young minds come up with the most innovative solutions. This fall, students of the CityVision program at the National Building Museum have been working hard to research and propose ideas for active gathering spaces at Buzzard Point. Join these students for the final presentation next week on Thursday, December 18, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at 401 F Street NW.

Free bike repair classes: Bike lovers know how helpful it is to diagnose and repair their own bike issues. BicycleSPACE, at 1019 7 Street NW, is making it easy to learn with free bike repair classes every Thursday at 7:15 pm.
