Amtrak’s big transit projects: What kinds of big transit projects does Amtrak have in mind for the Northeast Corridor? Hear from Stephen Gardner, the Executive Vice President of Northeast Corridor Business Development at Amtrak, at this month’s Transportation Tuesday program at the American Public Transit Association. It’s this Tuesday, May 10, at 5 pm at 1300 I Street NW. Please RSVP to attend.

Transit and tech: Technology is changing the face of transit. How will public transit adapt? Head over to this month’s Tuesdays at APA to hear about how transit supporters and agencies can leverage technology to improve transit. The meeting is this Thursday, May 12 at 5:30 pm at 1030 15th Street NW.

What’s next for the DC Streetcar?: DC wants to expand its streetcar! Learn about the future plans to extend the Streetcar from Union Station to Georgetown, and the potential environmental impact, at the first public meeting next Tuesday, May 17, at 6:00 pm on the first floor of Carnegie Library (801 K Street NW).

Small scale developers: Want to learn how to be a small scale developer? Head over to the Silver Spring Small Developer Boot Camp this Saturday, May 14. If you don’t have time for the training, you can mingle with like-minded folks at the pre-event happy hour on Friday, May 13 at 6:00 pm at 8131 Georgia Avenue.

Talk about the housing shortage: A panel of housing experts will discuss potential solutions for the region’s housing crisis at a May 24th forum hosted by Leadership Greater Washington.
