Since MetroGreater launched last week, riders across the region have submitted more than 1,000 ideas to MetroGreater. Many of you told us that you wanted a way to search submitted ideas. So, we created a search box!

Search “escalator” and you’ll find 116 ideas for making escalators work better for riders. Here are two of them.

Michael J. wants the fare card vending machines to have an audio recording instructing people to stand right and walk left on the escalators.

Peter L., and others, suggest keeping working escalators moving in the up direction when one or more escalators are out of service.

Typing “lights” into the search box reveals 57 suggestions for enhancing lighting in Metro stations. For example, Ann T. would like brighter lighting to better read the Express while waiting for a train.

Try using the search box before you submit your next idea. If someone has already entered your idea, think about ways your idea can build on it or make it more creative.

Wait, why is the idea I submitted not showing up?

The search box is great, but it’s not perfect. In order to make the search function work quickly, we had to use Google. That means Google has to index the MetroGreater site before results will show up. So it may take a day or two for new submissions to appear in search results.

You keep submitting small ideas for improving Metro. We’ll keep trying to make small improvements to the site!

Submit your idea or comment on others’ ideas at MetroGreater.org through July 15, 2016!
