Celebrate with Greater Greater Washington on December 8th

We're pleased to announce the next Greater Greater Washington party, just in time for the holidays!

Join us for drinks and meet your favorite GGW contributors and commenters on Tuesday, December 8th. Like February's party, it's in the back room at RFD. There's a special entrance on 8th Street, NW between H and I (Metro: Gallery Place/Chinatown).

We'll start at 7 pm, just after another fun event, Cities, Bicycles, and the Future of Getting Around by Brookings and NACTO at the Newseum featuring Congressman Earl Blumenauer, NYC Transportation Commissioner Janette Sadik-Khan, and artist, musician, and bicycle author David Byrne. Walk over to RFD after the panel or just come right to the party from work.

Hope you can make it!

Update: Note that registration is required for the Brookings panel. No registration is necessary for the Greater Greater Washington party at RFD at 7.

Update 2: Looks like the Brookings event filled up. Of course, the party does not require registration, so whether you registered or not for Brookings, hope to see you at the party!

David Alpert is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Greater Greater Washington and Greater Greater Education. He worked as a Product Manager for Google for six years and has lived in the Boston, San Francisco, and New York metro areas in addition to Washington, DC. He loves the area which is, in many ways, greater than those others, and wants to see it become even greater.

I'll try to make it. Probably wife and kids too. See you then!

FYI, you must register for the "Cities, Bicycles, and the Future of Getting Around" event if you wish to attend. The link to register is on the right hand side of the Brookings event page linked to in the post.

Heh. Guess this means I have to show up :)

In the case that we can make the happy hour but not the "Future of Getting Around" event, would our registering take from those who might want to go to that event but not the happy hour?

This is great! More details, please?

The "Future of Getting Around" is a separate event from the GreaterGreaterWashington happy hour. They are only related in that readers of this blog might be interested in both events. So far as I know the happy hour does not require registration. We would appreciate if you do not register for the cycling talk unless you plan to attend, as space is limited.

Is registration required for simply attending the "Future of Getting Around" discussion, or is the registration just to speak/ask the panel?

by Froggie on Nov 24, 2009 7:16 am • linkreport

No, the happy hour does not require registration.

Wasn't asking about the happy hour. Was asking about simply attending the Brookings panel.
