Weekend video: Why don't you slide

Volkswagen made a Berlin U-bahn station a lot of fun:

Wouldn't it be great if US car companies did marketing stunts involving making subway stations more fun? And wouldn't it be great if US companies weren't so nervous about liability that they could actually get such an idea past their legal department?

Put one at Rosslyn. Now that would be entertaining.

Rosslyn needs a split platform. But Baltimore's Charles Center is perfect for this. Someone call VW America and get a pilot program started!

Adults need slides too. What to do about the law suits? Solve that, and we solve the no slide problem.

@Jazzy

Solve the law suits and you solve alot more than the no slide problem.

LOVE this campaign! Saw it when I studied abroad in Denmark last fall, too, such fun stuff. Would love to see them bring that to D.C.

Reminds me of this video of a guy skiing down one of the long Tube escalators in London:

Also, the Mitch Hedberg joke about adults and slides.

What about Union Station? That'd get alot of commuters down to the platform past all those people going down the escalators near Gate A

They also did the piano stairs (I think there was a GGW post on it, but I can't find this minute):

Why is the US lawsuit crazy? Because there's no universal healthcare coverage, and a generally impoverished social safety net in general. Unless the state is going to serve as a backstop, somebody's got to pay. I'm routinely shocked that your average "tort reform" bozo can't grasp this simple fact.

The reaction at 0:53 was classically German.
