The photo of the duck race is cute but it illustrates my major complaint about Meridian Hill Park: the weeds growing along the cascade are totally out of control, they've become pretty disgusting. Why doesn't NPS do anything about it?

Great, fun park. I often take the long way home just so I can walk through it and enjoy the respite from the hustle and bustle. My thanks to all the people who rescued the park from squalor in the '80s and '90s.
