In three days, San Francisco’s MUNI replaced the entire track junction at Church and 30th Street. Check out this cinematic time-lapse video of the project.

Certainly this is more disruptive than changing a bus route, but the investment in rail transit pays off. Streetcars enjoy numerous advantages over buses, including higher ridership numbers and increased private investment. (Via Streetsblog SF.)
